Moss removal tool

A moss removal tool is an essential piece of equipment for keeping roofs clean, safe, and in good condition. Designed specifically to remove moss, algae, and debris without causing damage to tiles or shingles, this tool allows for effective maintenance that helps extend the life of any roof.

At JetWizard, using a moss removal tool is always our first option for roof cleaning — it’s the safest, most cost-effective method available, helping to protect both your roof and your budget.

Soft chemical washing is our second option for cleaning and is a highly effective, gentle method that’s perfect for more delicate surfaces. It’s ideal for exterior walls, rendering, roofs, and other sensitive areas where traditional pressure washing could cause damage. Although it is more expensive than manual moss removal, it remains a very safe and reliable method, offering excellent long-term results. We have two methods of soft washing depending on the situation:

First, we offer a Roof Cleaning Biowash, which is a spray-on solution that’s left to work naturally over the following days, weeks, and months. No rinsing is required after application, and it helps inhibit the return of organic contaminants and black spotting when applied once or twice a year.

Second, we use Roof Cleaner Rapid, which is mixed at a 1:1 dilution with water and left to dwell for at least 15 minutes (or longer for a stronger clean) before being rinsed off. This method produces a fast clean finish and can be followed up with a biocidal wash (like our Roof Cleaner Biowash) to extend the life of the clean even further.

Both options are safe, effective, and tailored to keep your property looking its best.

pressure wash

Our third option is pressure washing with a surface cleaner, which delivers an instant, deep clean using high water pressure. This is our most expensive cleaning method and is typically used when a fast, dramatic result is needed. However, because it uses powerful water pressure, it’s important to note that if your roof is already aged or not in the best condition, this method can risk causing leaks or other minor damage. While pressure washing provides immediate, impressive results, we always carefully assess the condition of your roof first to make sure it’s the right and safest choice for your property.
